Sitter accounts

How sitter accounts work, profile setup, and upgrading to a full account.

Sitters don't need to download an app or create an account to receive booking requests. Everything starts with a text. But sitters who want more control can upgrade to a full account.

Basic sitter access

When a family adds you as a sitter, you receive an opt-in text. After you confirm, you can receive booking requests by text and view your profile at the link provided. You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code — no password needed.

Your sitter profile

Every sitter has a profile page where you can add your name, email, a short bio, and your preferred payment methods (cash, Venmo, Zelle). You can also see your upcoming bookings and the hourly rates each family has set for you.

Upgrading to a full account

If you want access to features like setting your weekly availability or viewing a calendar of your bookings, you can create a full account with an email and password. Once upgraded, you can sign in with Google, Apple, or email — same as parents. Your phone-based access still works too.

Working with multiple families

Your sitter identity is tied to your phone number, not to a single family. If more than one family adds you, you'll receive booking requests from all of them. Each family sees their own nickname and hourly rate for you, but your profile is shared.
