Cancelling a booking

How to cancel and what your sitter sees.

Plans change. You can cancel a booking at any time from the Bookings tab in the app. Open the booking and tap "Cancel."

What your sitter sees

If a sitter had already confirmed, they receive a text letting them know the booking has been cancelled. The text is straightforward — no reason is required, and no follow-up is needed from them.

Cancelling during outreach

If Sitter is still working through your list and no one has confirmed yet, cancelling stops the outreach immediately. No more sitters will be contacted for that booking.

After cancellation

Cancelled bookings stay in your history for reference but are marked as cancelled. You can create a new booking for the same time if your plans change again.
